In The Beginning … God Didn’t Have a Mother!

In the Beginning…

In the beginning, God destroyed the earth by water because of their worship practices, oppression and violence.  Soon after the flood, Nimrod – King of Babylon began to deify himself and to do the worship practices that were taking place before the flood.  When Abraham saw what was happening he said: “Woe to my father and this wicked generation, whose hearts are all inclined to vanity, who serve these idols of wood and stone which can neither eat, smell, hear nor speak, who have mouths without speech, eyes without sight, ears without hearing, hands without feeling, and legs which cannot move; like them are those that made them and that trust in them.” (Jasher 11:32)

Kings and rulers have led astray!

Throughout history, the kings over Israel and Judah have caused them to err through their worship practices.  There are many examples of how these rulers over Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD by worshiping Baal and Ishtar leading God’s people away from Him.  This is “sin” by definition, for sin is the transgression of the Law according to 1 John 3:4. The Law states: “You shall not make any graven images… you
shall not bow down to them nor worship them.”

Keep the Commandments of God

You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them:
for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, punishing the perversity … of them that hate Me; And showing mercy to the thousands of them that love Me, and keep My Commandments. (Exo 20:5-6)  Jesus/Y’hoshua said “If ye love me, keep my Commandments.” (John 14:15) This is how you show your love towards God – Keep His Commandments. Do not bow down to idols/images/statues, and do not ally yourself with those who do those things.

The Blind leaders of the Blind

The ancient and honorable, he is the head; and the prophet that teaches lies, he is the tail.  For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed. (Isa 9:15-16)  The wrath of God is earmarked to be poured out on all those who will not hearken to His Commandments.  “Leave them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” (Mat 15:14)
