Messiah – Part 1
Messiah – Part 2

(1) Overture

(2) Isa 40:1-3 “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare [appointed time] is accomplished, that her iniquity pardoned: The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

(3) Isa 40:4 “Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill made low: the crooked shall be made straight, rough places plain:”

A Special Invitation to the Messiah

Are you ready for the Messiah to come? On Saturday, and Sunday, December 23rd & 24th, the Firmament will present for your enjoyment Handel’s Messiah as a unique blend of the Classical, Young and Soulful Messiah.

The lyrics will be provided here along with a PDF you can call up or print out to follow and sing along with us. You will find that the entire score is as a “string of pearls” so to speak, from the King James Version of the Bible.

It opens with Isaiah 40: “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people…” Let them know the appointed time has come and their iniquity is pardoned. Jesus said after he had gone to the Father, he would send the Comforter who would come in his name and remind you of all the things he has said.

So then if you pay close attention, you will realize there are two ‘Great Lights’ spoken of in this compilation. There are indeed two Messiahs spoken of.

“The Trumpet shall Sound” The Day of the Lord is Here! (Part II)

As in the Days of Lot

Jesus said what the Day of the Lord would be.

“Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Adam is revealed.”

Luke 17:28-30
Sodom suffers the wrath of God

What was going on in the days of Lot?

“The men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.”

Genesis 13:13

“The Trumpet shall Sound” The Day of the Lord is Here! (Part I)

In the Days of Noah

Jesus warned that the latter days at the time of the end, would be as the days of Noah (Matt 24:37). What would those days be like?

God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.  And God said to Noah, The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”

Genesis 6:12-13

In the days of Noah, he alone was found to be righteous and perfect or blameless. Noah walked with God. He and those who were with him in the Ark were as a remnant and the only ones who remained alive. A similar situation exists here at the end of time. These are times of Tribulation such as the inhabitants of the earth have never seen before. The world is corrupt and filled with violence. There is no truth in it!

In the days of Noah the Flood came and took them all away,

Introduction to the Bible

Just about every US bookstore and library has a Bible. Eighty-two percent of American households possess at least one Bible. Sixty-six percent of American’s have “expressed at least some curiosity to know more about what the bible says.” The Bible covers a lot of ground, yet it says the same things over and over from the very start, all the way to the very end. It starts at a time before Adam and ends pointing to a time that is still yet to come. The Bible is a book that is very rarely read or understood, yet is in almost every US household. What path has the Bible taken to what is so readily available today? Why should you read it?

An Epiphany

the-three-magi-Epiphany

Many are anticipating the ‘epiphany’ or manifestation of the Messiah in these times of Tribulation. Christ himself revealed how he would manifest and to whom. This article will show the false and the true.

The word ‘epiphany’ is one of Greek origin. It is defined as; 1. to manifest or to show 2. an appearance or manifestation of a divine being 3. a sudden manifestation or perception of the essential nature or meaning of something (as when something ‘dawns on you’, you suddenly or slowly perceive or understand).

Idolatry is Adultery… Against God

Roman Pontiff worships idols

What is Idolatry?  Idolatry is reverencing a person or thing, an idol.  Read this article to find out more.  Idolatry can take on many forms, like the common statues to the lesser recognized Christmas Tree spoken of in Jeremiah 10:1. Jeremiah 10:3-8 “For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest… they deck it with silver and gold… the stock (tree) is a doctrine of vanities”.

St. Andrew the Apostle, Patron Saint of Scotland

Home of the Brave, Land of the Free

Before America was, there was Scotland, still part of the United Kingdom of Britain, Scotland and Ireland. These are the brethren of the founding fathers of America, referred to in America’s Declaration of Independence. They claim the Apostle Andrew as their Patron Saint, as they say, he was sent to them first by Christ. Today, November 30, a feast day in his honor is celebrated in Scotland.

The nations of America, the United Kingdom and Northwestern Europe including Belgium, Holland, France, Norway, Sweden and Denmark became the wealthiest nations on earth in the very short time of the last two centuries. Since AD 1800 they have acquired more than three-fourths of all the wealth and resources of the earth.

O Christmas Tree, Idolatree

Most people probably wouldn’t associate a Christmas Tree with idolatry. But God’s Word commands against this ancient custom of vanity and idolatry.

“The modern Christmas tree is frequently traced to the symbolism of trees in pre-Christian winter rites, wherein Viking and Saxon worshiped trees.”  BBC Religion and Ethics
