The Firm PodCast

Here we will be presenting a PodCast covering various topics in God’s Word and as Jesus said, in the Gospel of Thomas “revealing things which have never before occurred to the mind of man.”

013 The Parables of the Lord 4

In this, our fourth installment of the Parables of the Lord we are going explain or further explain five amazing parables. We are also going to show you how tightly intertwined they are.  These parables give a clear contrast between the righteous and the wicked and identify without a doubt exactly who the wicked and the righteous are.

You will learn who has the living water and provides it to the sheep; what it means to be anointed, and who has the oil; who has a firm foundation and who is using untempered mortar; who is wearing a righteous garment and who are the wolves in sheep’s clothing; what it means to be a good shepherd and how to identify the wicked ones.

God said, “Then (the Day of the Lord) shall you return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that serves him not.”

Malachi 3:18

LET US KNOW IF YOU CAN SEE WHAT WE ARE SAYING…

012 The Parables of the Lord 3

Parables in scripture both conceal and reveal the knowledge and wisdom of God. In Matthew, chapter thirteen, Jesus said he speaks in parables because it is not given to the multitudes to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven and he spoke not lest he spoke in parables. There are hidden meanings in the parables of Jesus that he only explained to his apostles, but in the Bible he did not explain them all.

In this PodCast we will again be revealing some of those hidden mysteries and looking at his parables in ways you may not have considered.

011 What about Thanksgiving

In this PodCast we will be covering the vanity and excess that is today called Thanksgiving.

We will be looking at the ancient harvest festivals going all the way back to the pagan festivals of Rome, Egypt and Greece. As well as the more modern history of Thanksgiving here in America.

Did the first settlers, who sought to escape religious persecution, intend to thank God with a day of gluttony and excess? Have you ever wondered what Native Americans think of Thanksgiving… are they thankful?

We will also be covering what God thinks of Thanksgiving as it is practiced today, what if anything you should be thankful for, and who you should be thankful to.

Topics covered in this PodCast are:
The momentous occasion of the landing on Plymouth Rock in 1620
The Native American Heritage Day and how that relates to Thanksgiving.
Vain traditions of Thanksgiving and what you should really be thankful for
The ancient Harvest festivals in Rome, Egypt and Greece and how they relate to modern day Thanksgiving.
The true thanksgiving and how it connects with the Good Samaritan.

You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, this people draws near unto Me with their mouth, and honors Me with their lips; but their heart is far from Me. But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Matthew 15:7-9

Have they never read Vengeance is mine says the Lord? No, the way of peace they know not. (Deu 32:35, Rom 12:19, Isa 59:8 and Rom 3:17) Remember, God destroyed the earth because of violence. (Gen 6:11-13)

How about the New Covenant, did you know that God made a New Covenant with Israel after they broke the first one and that this New Covenant was to write His laws in their hearts and minds? Did you know that there is a Messenger of the Covenant prophesied to come whom Jesus said he would send? The answer to these questions and much more will be revealed in this PodCast.
