The Mark of the Beast?

In 1936 the US government started issuing Social Security cards based on the Social Security Act enacted in 1935 by Franklin Roosevelt.  However, Roosevelt, often accused of being a Socialist, was not the first to conceive of this system.  This Act was based on a German system put into place way back in 1889.  The German system provided contributory retirement benefits and disability benefits as well. Participation was mandatory and contributions were taken from the employee and the employer.  This system also established a mandatory numbering and tracking system which would later be used by the Nazi’s in WWII.  Is this the foundation for the Mark of the Beast?

Social Security Card
NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION

In the US, a statement was added to the bottom of the social security card reading, “FOR SOCIAL SECURITY PURPOSES — NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION.”  But really, what do a few words on a card mean?  As time passed, the number became just that… your ID number.  So, the statement was removed as part of the design changes to the card issued beginning in 1972.  Interestingly, the Tax Reform Act of 1976 codified IRS practice that the social security number was to be used as the identifying number for all individuals.  And with that, we had an official national ID number way back in 1976.

As with the German system, the US system is mandatory in both the issuance and taking of wages from every employed citizen.  Now with the issuance of universal health care put in place by Obama and, believe it or not, originally conceived of in Germany and later here in the US by Roosevelt, you now cannot get major medical care without a social security number.

One Card

Bring this forward to today and consider the push to have everything about you on one card.  That card is in your phone/digital wallet, or even, God forbid (and yes, I mean that literally), in an RFID chip in your wrist.  Consider the push to use credit and debit cards and move away from cash.  Consider the erosion of personal liberties and privacy.  Internet companies like Google and Facebook can scan and track private messages, photos and search queries. Consider the fact that nothing placed online is private.  The GPS in your phone which can track your every move meanwhile active listening devices like Siri and Alexa that are always on and always listening.  Consider that if everything you have is digital and the system fails, in the blink of an eye, you no longer exist.

Real ID Act

In 2005 Congress enacted the “Real ID ACT”, therefore modifying U.S. federal law.   Requirements are now set for state driver’s licenses and ID cards to be accepted by the federal government for “official purposes“.  The Secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Security now has unlimited authority to require a “federal identificationfor any purpose.

Title II of the act establishes new federal standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and non-driver identification cards.  The purpose is to link all state and federal databases to one master database of everything about you.  This has been going on, without your knowledge, since 2005.  Eventually, your driving record, health coverage, medical history, most recent purchases, color preferences, what you eat, drink or smoke will all be in the database.

In January 2018, implementation of the Real ID Act will begin the final phases. At this time, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) starts enforcing REAL ID requirements at airport security checkpoints.  Travelers seeking to board commercial aircraft may only do so with documents that are REAL ID compliant.

In the Name of Security

Technology in and of itself is not evil, the problem lies in those who use it.  Can we really trust the motives of those who have access to all we are?  Do we even know what their motives are?  As the Germans found out in WWII, when the government holds all the “Social Security” cards, the people lose all security.

Two thousand years ago, give or take, John wrote the following:

“And he will cause all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: That no one might buy or sell, save they that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:16-17”

Already, you cannot legally be employed and therefore cannot buy without your Social Security number, the number of your name.  Systems are in place and widely used that allow point-of-sale transfers on your phone therefore completely removing the need for cash.  As these systems become the standard instead of the exception, you will not be able to sell outside this system.

Now, recite your Social Security Number to yourself… You see, it is already in your forehead, the forefront of your mind.

This prophecy is being fulfilled in your eyes and ears.

“You shall do no servile work on the Sabbath day of the Lord”

Exodus 20:8-11
