In this PodCast we will be covering the the holiday known as Christmas.

We will be looking at the symbolism associated with this ancient festival, where it comes from and what if anything it has to do with Jesus and his birth.

Did you know that virgin birth and immaculate conception were features of nearly every pagan worship practice known today, predating Jesus by thousands of years? Did you know that Jeremiah 10 specifically condemns the pagans for decorating a tree, referring to it as an idol. Did you know that the Sun god, Baal was born of December 25th and his birthday was celebrated on that day before and after Noah’s flood. Did you know that Christ-Mass is a celebration of the murder of Jesus on a day that is supposedly his birthday.

A House Divided Against Itself

One hundred and sixty three years ago, on June 16, 1858, the newly chosen candidate for the U.S. Senate, Abraham Lincoln, delivered a speech to his colleagues. His goal was to unite them in their on-going discussions and disagreements about whether to abolish slavery or not. In his effort to get them into an agreement, he said, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Now whenever that phrase is heard, it is attributed to President Lincoln, but he was quoting someone else! And that someone was Jesus Christ! What was the original context?

The Egyptian Obelisk – What does it mean?

In ancient Egypt the obelisk symbolized the sun god, Ra. It was said to have been a petrified ray of the Aten, the sundisk. But why is this symbol seen in so many places including London, Washington DC and the Vatican?

Around 30 BCE, Rome seized control of Egypt. The Ancient Romans were awestruck by the obelisks they saw and looted the various temple complexes.
