Idolatrous Nation of America

The citizens of the nation of America would not like to consider themselves as being an idolatrous nation – but they are! You cannot expect a blessing from God when you break His Commandments. Take a look at a few major images of idolatry:

From ancient times the people of God have gone after the strange gods of those people around them and have not hearkened to the voice of God. When they came out of Egypt, they didn’t waste any time but quickly set up the Golden Calf to worship. Apis was the sacred bull worshiped in Egypt. This is in violation of the very first Commandment, given as a gift for their well being, to the House of Israel:

“And God spoke all these words, saying, ‘I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.

You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me, and keep My Commandments.’”

Exodus 20:1-6

These are the first words of the Covenant between God and His people. If you do not or will not pay attention to this, then you are not of His people and have no need to read any further.

The “Virgin Mary” statue is in fact an image of the goddess Astarte, an Egyptian, Phoenician, Greek and Roman goddess with many different names. This all amounts to the worship of Baal and Ashtaroth/Ishtar, vehemently warned against in God’s Word.

Praying to an idol? – It has ears but cannot hear

On May 1, 2021, the pope prayed for the end of the pandemic and a return of what he calls “a horizon of hope and peace.” He lamented how the pandemic has left so many people “anguished, bewildered and weeping for their dear ones who have died, buried sometimes in a way that wounds the soul.” Invoking the intercession of the Virgin Mary with God, Francis prayed that “this hard trial end and that a horizon of hope and peace return.”

In Washington DC, Cardinal Wilton Gregory prayed at the beginning of a May 17 recitation of the rosary from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception as part of a worldwide effort called by Pope Francis to pray for an end to the coronavirus pandemic.

Are their prayers falling on deaf ears? Clearly they do not hearken to the voice of God.

The Statue of Liberty

Most are completely unaware that the Statue of Liberty, a gift of France, in the New York Harbor is an image of the Roman goddess Libertas. There are many such images around the Capitol, i.e. statue of freedom on top of the Capitol building, which have been borrowed from ancient Greek and Roman religions.

Libertas, robed Roman liberty goddess, a beacon to the world

The statue of Liberty is a figure of Libertas, a robed Roman liberty goddess. She holds a torch above her head with her right hand, and in her left hand carries a tabula ansata inscribed JULY IV MDCCLXXVI (July 4, 1776 in Roman Numerals), the date of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. After its dedication, the statue became an icon of freedom and of the United States.” Wikipedia

Fourth of July Tribute

On July 2, just two days before the President’s speech, the Vatican’s bioethics academy and the World Medical Association called for an all-out effort to combat vaccine hesitancy and correct the “myths and disinformation” that are slowing the fight against the corona virus… They demanded that “all relevant stakeholders” exhaust all efforts to …confront vaccine hesitancy.

The focus of much of President Biden’s televised address on the 4th of July revolved around a push for vaccination against COVID-19 as the president warned that the virus had not yet been “vanquished” and called getting vaccinated “the most patriotic thing” Americans could do.

…My fellow Americans, it’s the most patriotic thing you can do […] Do it now, for yourself, for your loved ones, for your community, for your country,” he urged.

“The Fourth of July is a sacred day in our country. A day of history, of hope, remembrance and resolve with promise and possibilities. Before me stands monuments of the greatest and the goodness of our nation – monuments of light and liberty.

There is the towering memorial to George Washington. The general who led our revolution, the president who set our nation on its course. … And across the tidal basin from the Jefferson memorial, there stands Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. his arms crossed, his eyes fixed ahead toward the ‘Promised Land’ where equality is not only an aspiration but a reality. …we are emerging from the darkness of a year of pandemic and isolation, a year of pain, fear and heartbreaking loss.”

President Joe Biden, Fourth of July 2021

Many do not realize that the Fourth of July is a day of mourning for America.

Passport will be required by all

“Digital health certificates, or vaccine passports, are part of these efforts to push for the vaccine as a number of organizations are requiring proof of vaccination, including commercial airlines, employers, colleges and universities, and retail establishments… the vaccine passports could foreclose economic and social opportunities for those without immunization proof…”

“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding count/compute the number of the beast: for it is the number of man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666).”

Who are the Israelites?

Now everyone has been taught and led to believe that the Jews are the sole, chosen people of Israel. The truth is, all Jews ARE Israelites, but not all Israelites are Jews. The Jews are from the tribe of Judah, son of Jacob who is Israel, the grandson of Abraham. But Jacob had twelve sons, hence, the twelve tribes of the House of Israel. Take Joseph out and put in his two sons and there are thirteen tribes.

What is it to be Idolatrous?

What is Idolatry? A statue is a graven image made by the hands of a man. The dictionary says: a statue is a three-dimensional work of art, as an image or representation of a person or animal or an abstract form.

Artificial is defined as being something produced by man. Made in imitation or as a substitute. In this world, men make gods and worship them. It would be more fitting for the gods to worship men.

Syn. Image, idol, icon. An image is a representation as in a statue or effigy, sometimes regarded as an object of worship…

“Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee idolatry.”

Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 10:14

Warning of the Consequences of idolatry in the End Times

“If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead/memory, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixer into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.”

Revelation of Jesus Christ 14:9-11

“For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that reverence My Name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.”

Malachi 4:1-2

“Worship God: for the testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy.”

Revelation of Jesus Christ 19:10

The Classical Greek word charagma (χάραγμα), translated as mark (of the beast) in Revelation 13:16 can also mean any mark engraved, imprinted, or branded; stamped money, document, or coin. Wikipedia

You cannot serve two masters

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye is single, your whole body shall be full of light.

But if your eye is evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon/pursuit of wealth.”

Our Lord Jesus Christ – Matthew 6:20-24

Choose you this day whom you shall serve!

“I have given you a land for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which you did not plant, do you eat. Now therefore reverence the LORD, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the Jordan, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.

And if it seems evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the Jordan, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

The people answered and said, ‘God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods; For the LORD our God, He it is that brought us up and our fathers out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and which did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the people through whom we passed: And the LORD drove out from before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for He is our God…

The people said to Joshua, ‘The LORD our God will we serve, and His voice will we obey.’ So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance. And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the Law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak, that was by the Sanctuary of the LORD. And Joshua said to all the people, ‘Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it has heard all the words of the LORD which He spoke to us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest you deny your God.'”

Joshua 24:13-18, 24-27

One Nation, Under God

“Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the land where you go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ For what nation is there so great, who has God so near unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon Him for? And what nation is there so great, that has statutes and judgments so righteous as all this Law, which I set before you this day?”

Moses, Deuteronomy 4:5-6
Covenant Bloodline
The Abrahamic Covenant

“The LORD will scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the heathen, where the LORD shall lead you. And there you shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

But if from there you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come upon you, even in the latter days, if you turn to the LORD your God, and shall be obedient unto His voice; (For the LORD your God is a merciful God;) He will not forsake you, neither destroy you, nor forget the Covenant of your fathers which He swore unto them.”

Hi Nemisistar, great article full of well put together references. Where do you draw the line with artwork? On this website, in the header, there are visual representations of the sun and the moon. In your video, Recognizing Babylonian idols, which is great, the font has artwork with crescent moons and stars in it. Notice how the translation says “You shall not make unto you”, meaning that there is some subjective importance or worship attached to the likeness, and the command goes on to be more specific to specify idolatrous practices. My sense is that digital artwork is fleeting and meant to edify or enhance, or in a neutral sense represent something. What are your thoughts?
