Easter

Prophecy Monthly – March 2024

March was a month of violence and idolatry. Easter and Purim were celebrated around the world. These ancient pagan practices, that God has warned against, have been rebranded as a way to praise God. This hypocrisy has permeated the world.

There will be a time when the world will learn war no more, but that time is yet to come. Wars raged on in the Middle East, Ukraine and Sudan with violence rising in Haiti. Protests against the wars as well as from farmers looking for a fair means of living brought people to the streets. Disasters, both man-made and weather related impacted lives across the globe.

The following map is a summary of current events related to prophecy. Below the map you will find the event details and relevant Scriptural references. Many people have been taught God’s Word in the past tense. This is incorrect. The teachings and scenarios in the Bible and God’s Word are all prophetic, pointing to a future time, and that time is now.

Q&A: Who is the “queen of heaven” referred to in Jeremiah?

In Jeremiah, the “queen of heaven” is mentioned in two places, chapter 7 and 44. To answer this question, we are going to focus on chapter 7. So, lets start with the scripture.

Do you not see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke Me to anger. (cf. Jer 44:17-25)

Do they provoke Me to anger? says the Lord: do they not also provoke themselves to the confusion (shame) of their own faces?

Jeremiah 7:17-19

Notice that this worship practice which provokes God’s anger causes shame and confusion as well. Let’s see…

A Brief History of Easter and Passover

Passover vs. Easter

Most “Christians” today celebrate Easter as the day commemorating the resurrection of Jesus. However, early followers of Jesus would not have recognized or celebrated Easter. There is no reference in scripture to the observance of a holiday (Holy Day) to commemorate the “resurrection” of Jesus.

So, Where did Easter come from and how did it get incorporated into today’s “Christianity?”
