Finding our Ancestral Roots has become a pastime and an important aspect of life for many lately with the availability of DNA tests and programs to help people reconnect with the roots of their Family Tree. But most can only go back a few generations and a few hundred years at best from their own with which to connect. But what if you could go back millennia? Back to the beginning? Back to the roots!
Ancient Roots of Worship
Looking back at the ways of ancient Egypt, Babylon and Assyria, we find many of those ways still being followed by modern-day people to this day. They’re not aware of their roots. But these practices can provide important clues for those who are searching and want to know their own roots.
The worship of a ‘mother-goddess’ goes way back in time. Inanna is an ancient Mesopotamian goddess associated with sex, war, justice, and political power. She was originally worshiped in ancient Sumer and later by the Akkadians, Babylonians and Assyrians under the name Ishtar. She was known to her cult members as the “Queen of Heaven“.
Astarte (Greek: Ἀστάρτη, Astártē) is the Hellenized form of the Middle Eastern goddess Astoreth/Ashtoreth (Northwest Semitic), a form of Ishtar (East Semitic), worshiped from the Bronze Age through classical antiquity. The name is particularly associated with her worship among the Canaanites and Phoenicians. She was also celebrated in Egypt in Africa, known also as ‘the Land of Ham,’ son of Noah. The name Astarte is sometimes also applied to her cults in Mesopotamian cultures like Assyria and Babylonia.
Scriptural references show the Roots
In Scripture (KJV) this goddess is known as Ashtoreth, Ashtaroth and also Ashera, which has been translated, ‘groves’. The worship practices of her is what led to the House of Israel being split-up into two houses, Israel and Judah. The ten tribes of Israel and two tribes of Judah. Their further pagan worship practices led to the deportation of the ten tribes of the House of Israel into Assyria, also known as, the ‘Lost Sheep of the House of Israel’ of whom Ephraim, son of Joseph, son of Jacob, who is Israel, is the head (2King 18:11-12). Therefore, all Jews are Israelites, but all Israelites are NOT Jews! Abraham was not a Jew, neither was Moses, Aaron nor Joshua. Israel is not a Jew. Jesus was not a Jew. Paul was not a Jew. David and Solomon were of the tribe of Judah.
Warnings by the Prophets
“…the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord and served Baalim: And they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the Lord to anger. And they forsook the Lord and served Baal and Ashtaroth.”Judges 2:11-13
“…the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines and forsook the Lord and served Him not. And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines…”Judges 10:6-7
These are just a couple of references to Ashtoreth (Ishtar, Inanna), the goddess of the Zidonians and Canaanites, sons of Ham. This has been a constant and recurring transgression against God. He brought Israel out of their bondage of Egypt because He heard their cries and so they would be His people and serve Him. He has warned against idolatry by all of His servants the prophets, the apostles and His own Son, all of whom He sent to Israel. They have most all been killed for their testimony.
The Roots of Disobedience
“And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, I am the Lord your God. After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein you dwelt, you shall not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, where I bring you, you shall not do: neither shall you walk in their ordinances. You shall do My judgments, and keep My ordinances, to walk therein: I am the Lord your God.’”Leviticus 18:1-4
The Star of Ishtar and the Roots of Easter
The eight-pointed star was Inanna’s most common symbol which through time also became the most common symbol of the goddess Ishtar, Inanna’s East Semitic counterpart. She is known by many names in different cultures, but the images are the same. In the days of Babylon, it had come to be associated with the planet Venus, with which Ishtar was also identified. This name and practice are where ‘Easter’ comes from and when they happened to ‘make cakes to the Queen of Heaven’ and ‘weep for Tammuz’, the Babylonian Sun god, Baal.
And here are the pagan roots of the Saxons (Isaac’s sons) eating similar baked goods in honor of Eostre, goddess of Spring, while becoming synonymous with ‘Christianity’ over time. This is due to the deception perpetrated upon them by those in leadership. They took many pagan ways and called them ‘Christian’ in order for the people to accept them. It seems they went willingly, but in the process, have forgotten their true roots.
The Roots of Captivity
“In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria… For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had reverenced other gods, And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.”2 Kings 17:6-8
“And I will “cast you (Judah) out of My sight as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim… Don’t you see what they do? …the women knead dough to make cakes to the Queen of Heaven… and they provoke Me to anger,” saith the LORD.”Jeremiah 7:13-20
Judah was taken captive into Babylon while their temple was completely destroyed by Babylon and Edom. After 70 years they were allowed to return to Jerusalem. Israel never returned and is presumed ‘lost’ to history. They have forgotten their roots altogether.
“My people have been lost sheep, their shepherds have caused them to go astray…”Jeremiah 50:6
Connecting the Roots of the Star to America
The Star of Ishtar or Inanna is an identifying symbol of the ancient Sumerian goddess Inanna and her East Semitic counterpart, Ishtar. Alongside the lion, it was one of Ishtar’s primary symbols. Because Ishtar was associated with the planet Venus, the star is also known as the Star of Venus.
The eight-pointed star of Ishtar in the upper left-hand of the ancient Assyrian relief also appears in the same position of the recently unveiled logo of the newly formed US Space Force.
The roots of the eight-pointed star revealed!
Roman Catholicism now calls Mary the ‘Queen of Heaven’ and uses the eight-pointed Ishtar as the ‘Star of the Sea’ or ‘Stella Maris’ to guide. They have their roots in Babylon.
This is a very significant identification as to the lost Ten Tribes of the House of Israel, i.e. Ephraim, taken into captivity by Assyria so many years ago and eventually coming to populate Europe, the UK and the Unites States of America. To this day they seek her influence over war, sex political power and space exploration. Now we can see clearly where they are, where they’ve been and where they think they’re going.
Return to God and reconnect the Roots
The idolatrous worship practices of Israel to God is like an adulterous wife against her husband. Now, if you want Him to return to you and remember His Covenant with your fathers, then you must return to Him and keep His Commandments to love and serve Him alone.
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of that Tree, it caused theirs and the death of their children for many generations. The opportunity is now given to repent and return to ‘eat’ of the Tree of Life that you may live. He said He will have mercy on those who love Him and keep His Commandments.
” In this the children of God are manifest and the children of the devil: whosoever does not do righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother… as Cain who was of the wicked one and slew his brother.”1 John 3:10-11
The Roots of Wickedness
The Blessing of Israel to Ephraim and Manasseh
“Jacob said to Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me, And said unto me, Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people; and will give this land to your seed after you for an everlasting possession.
And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto you in the land of Egypt before I came unto you into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine…
So Israel blessed Joseph and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth…
He blessed them that day, saying, In you shall Israel bless, saying, God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh. And Israel said to Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.”Genesis 48
He said that ‘the younger shall become greater than the elder’. Quite simply, Ephraim is America and Manasseh is Great Britain, not the other way around.
Many have fought and killed over the birthright of Israel, but it is very well documented as to whom it belongs. No one can gain it by force. The search for your roots may bring a great treasure indeed!
