The Measure of Progress – The Doomsday Clock

The Doomsday Clock is a symbol that represents the likelihood of a man-made global catastrophe. It is used as a measure of progress upon the earth. A mechanism to measure man’s progress toward the complete enslavement and annihilation of all humanity by those in power to do so. By their own calculations, the end is nigh.

Family Ties: A Special Relationship

There has been a “special relationship” between these two countries since their birth. They represent the two sons of Joseph, son of Israel, Ephraim and Manasseh. Family ties are hard to be broken. These two were born into Egypt in the years of plenty. Their father provided food for everyone in the time of the famine and was greatly admired. Although they’ve had their differences, like brothers, they always settle them and get along with each other in peace. This relationship is now being threatened to come to an end in hostility. It will be a time of Great Tribulation.

Branch Davidians: Innocent Blood not Forgotten

In the beginning… was innocent blood shed
“And Cain said to his brother Abel, surely if I slay you this day, who will require your blood from me? And Abel answered Cain, saying, surely God who has made us in the earth, He will avenge my cause and He will require my blood from you should you slay me, for the Lord is the judge and arbiter, and it is He who will requite man according to his evil, and the wicked according to his wickedness that he may do on the earth…
And Cain hastened and rose up, and took the iron part of his plowing instrument, with which he suddenly smote his brother and he slew him, and Cain spilt the blood of his brother Abel upon the earth, and the blood of Abel streamed upon the earth before the flock.”

The Waco Tragedy Explained

Two years ago on April 18, 2018 this article by Tara Isabelle Burton, The Waco Tragedy explained, appeared marking the 25th anniversary of what she called: “of one of the strangest and most tragic incidents in American religious history: the bloody ending of the siege between FBI agents and members of the Branch Davidian religious group in Waco, Texas.”

A Forced Sabbath

The World has suddenly come to a screeching halt. The population is taking a ‘forced sabbath’, or rest, due to Coronavirus containment efforts. As of March 24th, 2020, a third of the World’s population, or three Billion people, are under virus related ‘shelter-in-place’ limits. Citizens around the world have been forced to take a step back from the ‘go-go-go’ mentality. The new directive is to hunker-down at home. Welcome to the forced sabbath.

Signs of the End Times

“And God made two great Lights, the Greater Light to rule the day, and the Lesser Light to rule the night…”

Genesis 1:16-17

“Nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom: and great earthquakes in diverse places, and famines and pestilences and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven…”

Luke 21:7-11

The last Full Moon of the decade was on December 12, 2019. The last New Moon of the decade is on December 26, 2019. The New Moon is hidden from the earth except in the case of an eclipse of the Sun. That’s when the moon can be seen as a dark orb in the throne of the sun lit up by its corona, the “ring of fire”. This New Moon will be visible as it will eclipse the sun on December 26, 2019 at 5:13 UTC. The annular eclipse looks a wedding ring.

The Times they are a Changing Medley

Sodom and Gomorrah

As it was in the Days of Lot

Lot is most well known for escaping from the city of Sodom just before God burned it to the ground with fire. The Apostle Peter wrote in 2 Peter 2:4-6 that Sodom and Gomorrah were turned to ashes to make them an example for those who live ungodly. Jesus recalls this destruction of Sodom in Luke 17:28-29, and says that in the days of Lot they ate, drank, bought, sold, planted and built.

Sodom and Gomorrah are identified as an example of the ungodly throughout the Bible, from Genesis and Deuteronomy to Jude and Revelations. Many think it has something to do with your sex life, but that didn’t make the list given by Jesus in Luke 17. What was the ungodliness in the days of Lot? Is it like that today?

In the Beginning… Nothing became Something

Bang

If the universe is expanding, then it had to start somewhere.  If the universe started somewhere then it had a beginning.  If the universe had a beginning then it had a cause.  If the universe had a cause then it was created.  If the universe was created then Who or What created it?  This article will explore that question and you might be surprised at the conclusion.

Is God Blessing America?

This past week was the traditional “State of the Union” speech given by the US president. The purpose of the speech is to give an overview of exactly how the US is fairing these days and lay out an agenda for the future. Trump matched past presidents by touting a great economy, the “military might” of the US and sighted his personally perceived achievements. His facts on these issues are clearly from one perspective, his. He mostly ignored what is really going on in the world and issues that affect the majority of Americans. Trump was sure to end the speech with “God Bless America!” So the question is, “Is God blessing America?”

Consequences of War

British Soldiers, World War I
British Soldiers, 1914

100 years ago, on November 11, 1918, World War I finally came to an end.  Armistice Day, later changed to Veterans Day in the US, is a day of remembrance for the veterans of War.  The consequences of World War I included the deaths of 16 million people, consisting of both soldiers and civilians.  A lesser talked about consequence of World War I and war, in general, is “Shell Shock”, today it is known more commonly as PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Francis Addresses Abuse Scandal – The Devil Did It!

“Pope” Francis is up to the church’s old tricks.  Deflect and distract.  Every day for the month of October, he has asked “the faithful” to pray the rosary and to pray to Michael the Archangel.  What are they praying for?  In response to the ever-expanding abuse scandal, Francis has asked them to pray “to repel the attacks of the Devil who wants to divide the Church.”  During a morning mass in September, Francis addressed exactly what these attacks against the church were.

“In these times, it seems like the Great Accuser has been unchained and is attacking bishops.  True, we are all sinners, we bishops.  He tries to uncover the sins, so they are visible in order to scandalize the people.  Let us pray, today, for our bishops: for me, for those who are here, and for all the bishops throughout the world.”  Francis
