November was a month with not much to give thanks for. Reports of known and ignored abuses poured in from around the globe including New Zealand, the UK, Afghanistan and the US. Droughts have now been declared in every US state except two and the largest man-made lake in the world is at record lows. ‘Pollution season’ started in India and violence against women increased around the world. The US vetoed a ceasefire in Gaza, again, while also removing limits on the use of missiles against Russia. Countries are beginning to prepare for expanded wars in both Europe and the Middle East. Is the world on the verge of World War Three? If so, an AI god won’t help, neither will the power of positive thinking.

May was another month of hypocrisy. After passing the Foreign Aid Bill in April, Biden ‘threatened’ to withhold weapons from Israel if they went into Rafah in Gaza. Israel went into Gaza, killed 45 civilians in one attack and Biden’s White house responded that no ‘red-lines’ had been crossed by the killings.
Likewise, the Roman Catholic Church has been claiming to be transparent in regards to the Child Sex abuse scandal, yet in May the Louisiana State police used a search warrant to acquire documents for their ongoing investigation. Why didn’t the church just hand them over? Meanwhile, the attorney general of Washington State accused the Roman Catholic Church of stonewalling his investigation into the child abuse scandal.

January was a month dominated by hypocrisies. At the top of the list is the State of Israel. They were once the victims of the holocaust genocide, yet now they have been taken to court under the accusation of doing the very same thing. From there we look at a group trying to ‘rebuild trust’ yet turning to artificial intelligence to do so as well as celibate priests teaching about sex. There is no shortage of hypocrisies in the news from this past month.
