The Bible’s Three Main Characters

Open Bible

Go and Find your Bible. Open to the Table of Contents and take a look. First thing you will see is a list of sixty-six books. How did all of these books come to be known as The Bible? What is the Bible about? Who are the main characters in the Bible? Is it just a history book or is it absolutely relevant to the present day? Let’s answer these questions by focusing on the three main characters that appear and reappear throughout the Bible. The three main characters are especially relevant to the present day.

Origins of The Bible

To lay some groundwork, the Bible’s origin is addressed in this article and the below video (also linked at the bottom of this page). Read and watch to learn that there are false prophets who claim authority over the Bible, but shouldn’t. People have been persecuted and killed for possessing, reading and adhering to the Bible. Finally, there are books that never made it into the Bible, but should have.

It took centuries for the Bible to become the Book we have today. But, what’s actually in it? What is it about? What does it say?

Old Testament

The Old Testament books can be generalized into four main sections. The first section addresses who Israel is, the establishment of the Covenant between God and Israel and the giving of the Law and Commandments to Israel. The second section is the history of Israel entering the Promised Land only to have it taken away from them. They were taken into captivity by the Assyrians and Babylonian, then scattered. The third grouping of books includes the writings of David and Solomon, both praising God and admonishing Israel for going against God’s commands. The fourth group of books are The prophets, which, like David and Solomon, praise God for His Righteousness and admonish Israel for their backsliding ways. The prophets also point to a future time when Israel returns to God and God returns to Israel.

New Testament

The New Testament can be generalized into three main groupings. The First four books are “the Gospels” or the writings covering the teachings and life of Jesus. The second group from Acts through Jude contain the writings of the Apostles in letter form to specific congregations of Israelites or between each other while they were traveling and teaching. The last book of the canonized bible is the Book of Revelation, a book which is the culmination of all of the books before it. It is a book that had been “sealed” or closed up to understanding until a certain time, now!

“…Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

Revelation 5:5

The Main Characters

Throughout the entire Bible, there are three main characters. Only three? How could that be? The Bible covers over 4,000 years of time from Adam to Jesus, and is a prophesy forward another 2,000 years to the present day. In that entire span of time, there are three main entities or characters represented over and over again.

The first is Israel, the second is the dominating religious power also known as the “Whore”, and the third is the “Beast” or the dominating governmental power. The individual people who sit in these character’s seats change over time, but the role each entity plays keeps repeating. With an understanding of these three entities, God’s “Big Picture” and purpose is crystal clear. A number of the articles on this blog site seek to point out who these three characters are. It’s time to meet these main players.

Israel

House of Israel, House of Judah

Who Is Israel? God gave the name of Israel to Jacob. Jacob is a descendant of Abraham and Isaac. God made a Covenant specifically with each of these forefathers. Israel also refers to all descendants of his twelve sons, the Children of Israel.

Secondly, there is a “House of Israel” first spoken of in Kings. Solomon, once a righteous man, turned away from God. His transgression was to build temples for his wive’s pagan gods. Solomon turned away from God, therefore, his kingdom was split into two Houses. The “House of Israel” refers to the ten northern tribes taken over by Jeroboam. The “House of Judah” refers to the Southern Tribes ruled by Rehoboam, Solomon’s son. The twelve sons of Jacob each represent a tribe. The “House of Israel” was taken captive into Assyria and scattered. Many say “Israel” has been lost to history, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

The “House of Judah” occupied the land which became known as Judea. This land is where the tribe of Judah resided until they were taken into the Babylonian captivity. The land of Judea is where the reference to “Jews” comes from. However, Israel is made up of twelve tribes, not just those from Judah, or Jews. Paul clarifies that he is from the tribe of Benjamin, Jesus is from the descendants of Levi and the Book of Revelation lists all twelve tribes as each having a set number sealed with God’s Name.

“And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.”

Revelation7:4

The term “Israel” can refer to Jacob, the descendants of the twelve sons or tribes of Jacob or the “House of Israel” made up of ten of the tribes. To make matters even more confusing, Paul said this in Romans:

“…For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall your seed be called.”

Romans 9:6-7

A Whore

Who is the “Whore?” Is this one person or an organization? Is this whore a character from the past, a person living today or a future organization for another time? All great questions, asked by many. These questions are at the heart of a great deception that, so far, has steered many people away from understanding exactly who “The Whore” is.

“Come here; I will show to you the judgment of the great whore that sits upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

Revelation 17:1-2

In order to understand who is “the great whore”, what is a whore? A “whore” in the most basic definition exchanges sexual acts for money. This term is also used when someone can be bought, corrupted or influenced. A “Whore” is one that panders to your wants for a bribe or benefit. The bribe could be money, but also influence, power or authority. So, this term is not just about an exchange of physical sex for cash, but used for a person, or more accurately to the Biblical Whore, an organization, that negatively influences or “seduces” you becoming rich in the process.

A Religious Great Whore

Revelation 17 gives two identifying traits of this “great whore.” First trait, she is in bed with the kings or rulers of the earth. That would be the governmental bodies. Second, she has seduced the inhabitants or people of the earth with “wine” and made them drunk. Drunk people can not be reasoned with, they are out of their right mind. This whore has caused the inhabitants of the earth to be without reason. She has influence over what they think and believe. She has taught them wrongly, but about what? God! This whore is a religious entity! She has falsely claimed to have authority to teach God’s Word and used that authority to control and influence governments and people, for centuries. She still does.

In the book of Hosea, God tells Hosea to go and marry a whore. Hosea is to be an example of what God’s people, Israel, have done to God.

“…Go, take to you a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land has committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.”

Hosea 1:2

One that commits whoredom, turns away from their husband to be in bed with another, the whore. Israel, all inhabitants of the earth and the rulers of the earth have all turned away from God and are in bed with this great whore. The one who claims to be the head of “Christianity”, the Roman Catholic Church is the Great Whore. The Christian denominations spawned out from her are the daughters, the harlots. They are all contrary to God and teach His Words falsely, thus making people drunk or not in their right mind in their understanding of God. The Whore or the dominating religious power speaks blasphemy against and about God, constantly.

The Beast

Who is the Beast? Just as the Whore refers to an organization, so does the beast. The Whore rides on the back of the Beast and directs its every move, including teaching the beast and it’s people falsely about God. Speaking falsely about God’s Word is blasphemy.

“…I will tell you the mystery of the woman (whore), and of the beast that carries her…”

Revelation 17:7

“…I saw a woman (the whore) sit upon a scarlet coloured (blood stained) beast, full of names (utterances) of blasphemy…”

Revelation 17:3

A Beastly Government

The beast and the whore are not one and the same. Many “Christians” today have merged these two entities into one. The Whore sits on the beast, she is not the beast. The whore is the religious influence and the beast is the governmental influence. Throughout history there have been many beasts. However, there is a beast at the end of this age which takes on all the traits of the beasts before it. One that waxes rich from violence and war. It dominates with violence and oppression.

“… and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshiped the dragon/serpent/whore which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Revelation 13:3-4

“Who is able to make war with him?” There is your key to understanding who this is.

Repetition of History

Time to take a quick jump through 6,000 years of history to see where these three entities appear. We are looking for a representation of Israel, the ‘whore’ or religious power, and the ‘beast’ or governmental power. These entities all appear in the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation. Israel has been seduced away from God by the Whore and oppressed by the Beast. The forefathers, the Prophets, Jesus and the Apostles all spoke God’s Words to show Israel the right way and bring them out from the influence of the religious and governmental dominating powers. Following are some examples.

Abraham

Abraham (Israel’s grandfather) stood up to the head of the government, Nimrod (a Beast), for the worship practices (whoredoms) of his father Terah. Terah was worshiping idols or committing whoredom with Nimrod’s pagan religious practices. In The Book of Jasher, Abraham destroyed the idols worshiped by his father Terah. Therefore, Terah brought his own son to the king, Nimrod, to bring judgement against Abraham. However, before Nimrod threw Abraham in prison for destroying idols, Abraham spoke to Nimrod and said:

“O foolish, simple/stupid, and ignorant king, woe unto you forever… [you] have filled the whole earth with your sins … Don’t you know, or haven’t you heard, that this evil which you do, our ancestors sinned therein in days of old, and the eternal God brought the waters of the flood upon them and destroyed them all, and also destroyed the whole earth on their account? And will you and your people rise up now and do like unto this work, in order to bring down the anger/wrath of the Lord God of the universe, and to bring evil upon you and the whole earth? Now therefore put away this evil deed which you do, and serve the God of the universe… if your wicked heart will not hearken to my words to cause you to forsake your evil ways and to serve the eternal God, then you will die in shame in the latter days, you, your people and all who are connected with you, hearing your words or walking in your evil ways.”

Jasher 11:56-60

Moses

Moses and Aaron brought the people of Israel out of slavery in Egypt. In order to leave Egypt, they had to go up against Pharaoh, who held Israel in captivity and oppression. Pharaoh (a beast) called on his religious leaders, Jannes and Jambres (the whores), “wise men”, sorcerers and magicians to go against Moses and Aaron.

“And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.”

Exodus 7:10-12

Moses and Aaron brought Israel out from both this “whore” and “beast” when they left Egypt. They withstood these two entities and stayed in their houses, as commanded by God. For this reason, when God’s wrath unleashed against Egypt, it passed over Israel.

Elijah

Elijah went up against Ahab, the King (government), and his wife, Jezebel (the whore). Ahab and Jezebel forsook the Commandments of God and went after pagans gods. Jezebel brought false witnesses against Naboth (representing Israel, the heir) and had him stoned to death in order to take over his vineyard or his rightful inheritance. Jezebel is the false prophetess that claims possession over what does not belong to her. This scenario is just as there are false prophets today claiming to have authority over God’s Word, to which they have no right. It is Israel’s rightful inheritance.

“And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam…that he (Ahab) took to wife Jezebel …and went and served Baal, and worshiped him. And Ahab made an image of Ashteroth/Ishtar; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him.”

1 Ki 16:31-33

“And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long will you vacillate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him: but if Baal, then follow him.”

1 Ki 18:21

Jesus

Jesus spoke and fulfilled the Words of God. The chief priests and pharisees (religious dominating powers) were transgressing the Law and not speaking God’s Words correctly. Therefore, Jesus spoke against them and for this, the priests made false accusations against him. The religious leaders brought Jesus to Herod and Pilate, the governmental powers, to be killed. See any similarities here?

“And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people. Said to them, You have brought this man to me, as one that perverts the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof you accuse him: No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done by him… But they (the religious powers) cried, saying, ‘Crucify him, crucify him…’ they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed. And Pilate (the governmental power) gave sentence that it should be as they required.”

Luke 23:13-24

The Inquisition and Crusades

These three main entities did not cease to exist after the time of Jesus. The Inquisition and Crusades are a blatant continuation of the Whore, the Catholic or Universal religion, using the governmental powers to murder those who go against her teachings. Apologies from the Popes for their past actions only serve to confirm their complicity. Can a leopard change its spots?

“A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit…Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”

Matthew 7:17-20

The Great Whore and Beast

“Come here; I will show to you the judgment of the great whore that sits upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

Revelation 17:1-2

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; ….”

Revelation 20:4

“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you are not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.”
