Prophecy Monthly – August 2023

August was a month of tribulation both in the present and looking back at the past. It will be 50 years this September since Augusto Pinochet took over Chile and the Dirty Wars took off in South America. More and more documents are coming out about this atrocious time in history.

Hypocrisy at the highest levels and wars continue to destroy peoples lives around the world. The never ending sexual abuse scandal in the Roman Church is just one example. August brought its fair share of extreme weather events with hurricanes, floods and wildfires displacing thousands. What is going on?

The following map is a summary of current events related to prophecy. Below the map you will find the event details and relevant scriptural references. Many people have been taught God’s Word in the past tense. This is incorrect. The teachings and scenarios in the Bible and God’s Word are all prophetic, pointing to a future time, and that time is now.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

Chile & Argentina – Dirty Wars

Almost 50 years ago, a coup in Chile led to the rise of Pinochet and the start of a 17-year dictatorship. This past August Chile announced it would search for the victims who were disappeared or executed during the dictatorship, thought to number over 40,000. One such method of disappearing victims was to throw them out of planes or helicopters. Flight data in the aircraft is evidence which can still be found today, such as in one helicopter found all the way over in the UK.

The Nixon administration and the CIA were involved with ousting the elected official, Salvador Allende, and instating Augusto Pinochet in his place. The US state department is in the process of declassifying some documents from that era. During the Pinochet dictatorship, tens of thousands of babies were also kidnapped from their parents and adopted to families abroad. One such case was highlighted this past month when 42-year old Thyden, raised in the US, was reunited for the first time with his birth mother in Chile.

During the same time, in Argentina, the ‘dirty wars’ claimed the lives of at least 30,000 people. Recently US documents have been made public which reveal details of some of these crimes. The Vatican has said it will open it’s archives on the Dirty Wars, but only for victims and families to see. Investigations into these crimes are still ongoing. Italy has just approved the extradition of a priest involved with these murders and tortures in Argentina. Many religious leaders in Argentina are known to have worked with the junta, not against them.

The video below shows the connection between the Roman Catholic Church and the atrocities committed throughout South America. These crimes were not just limited to Chile and Argentina. The world is grossly ignorant of the crimes committed throughout the entire South American continent, Central America and all the way up into Mexico.

Ecclesiastes 12:14

Ukraine

Ukraine and Russia continue to volley attacks at each other. Interestingly, this month Zelensky fired the head of every single military conscription following corruption claims. Men have been dodging the draft, but who should you follow? Men who demand that you go to war, or God who wants an end to all violence? To date, almost 500,000 troops have been killed or injured in the war.

Nations around the world have continued to add fuel to the fire by supplying F-16’s, with the US approval, as well as forecasting more funding and more tanks to Ukraine. This month Russia hit a plant owned by Sweden, but operating in Ukraine, claiming it was a military target because it was ‘part of the Ukraine military-industrial complex’ producing bearings.

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgement in the goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goes therein shall not know peace.”

Isaiah 59:8

“The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, ‘The end of all flesh is come before me; because the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.'”

Genesis 6:11-13

Rumors of Wars

The US has sent two warships and 3,000 military personnel to the Red Sea. They are there to guard commercial oil tankers from hijackings and seizures. This isn’t the first time the US government has been used to support private business interests. A very short book titled ‘War is a Racket’ should be required reading for every American. Written by Major General Smedley Butler in 1935, he outlines the true cause of war. This highly decorated General knew from personal experience exactly what was going on then, and the very same applies even more so today. You are encouraged to read this very short book and consider the current events of today.

Extreme Weather

Water

Floods, hurricanes and extreme storms made impacts across the world in August. Hurricane Hilary developed along the West Coast of Mexico and worked it’s way North until it hit California as tropical storm. Flooding, mudslides and wind damage transformed a normally dry time of year for large parts of Southern California and Nevada. Record rainfall doubled previous records in several areas. Hurricane Idalia intensified from a category 1 to a category 4 in just 24 hours while over a very warm gulf of Mexico. The winds, rain and storm surge were devastating for the Florida Gulf coast. Earlier in the month more than 1 million homes were without power after sever storms blew through, killing two people in New England.

Outside of the US, thousands were evacuated in China due to flooding and at least 10 people were killed. A dam in Norway partially burst after heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, in Alaska a glacial dam outburst sent a surge of water through Juneau, destroying 2 buildings and eroding riverbanks.

“And there will be great fear and trembling on the earth, and those who witness that wrath will shudder, and trembling will seize them. And after that, heavy rainstorms will come from the south and the north and another part from the west. And winds from the east will grow strong, and will reveal it…”

2 Esdras 15:37-39

“But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Adam be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of Adam be… “

Matthew 24:37-39

Heat

Temperature records were set for Oceans around the world. The global average daily sea surface temperature reached 69.7F, breaking the previous record set in 2016. Coral bleaching continued to be a concern in the waters around Florida, Central America and the Caribbean due to the high water temperatures. The current bleaching event has been called ‘unprecedented.’

The ‘zero-degree’ line, or the elevation above sea level at which point the air temperature drops to 32F, was measured at an ‘unprecedented’ 17,400. The previous record was set in July of 2022. For comparison, the average zero-degree line between 1991 and 2020 was 8,432 ft.

In South America, a winter heatwave caused temperature to be ‘way off the scale’ in several countries. Argentina saw temperature highs of 102F while parts of Chile reached 104F. That’s not much of a winter!

“For now disasters have come upon the whole world, and you will stay among them, for God will not deliver you, because you have sinned against him.”

2 Esdras 15:27

“…consider the days of summer, that the sun is upon it at its very beginning; while you seek for a covered and shady spot on account of the burning sun; while the earth is scorched up with fervid heat, and you become incapable of walking either upon the ground or upon the rocks in consequence of that heat.”

Enoch 5:1

Fire

The worst ever US wildfire disaster occurred in Hawaii this past month. The inferno claimed over 100 lives with many people still missing. In Canada, a country experiencing their worst-ever wildfire season, fires led to a large air evacuation of entire remote towns. Greece declared one of their wildfires as the largest ever recorded in the EU.

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.”

2 Peter 3:10

“… the world that was then (at the time of Noah), being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved to fire against the Day of Judgement and perdition of ungodly men.”

Hypocrisy

Sexual abuse in Churches

Yet another Roman Catholic Archdiocese has filed for bankruptcy in the US. This time, the San Francisco Archdiocese filed for Chapter 11 protection to halt ongoing litigation and allow them to continue operations. Should they though? Is this a just system if bankruptcy and insurance can cover sexual abuse crimes against children? This will be the 32nd Archdiocese currently in bankruptcy or that has emerged from bankruptcy in the United States alone. As a reminder, in the US the Roman Catholic Church was given $3.5 Billion of tax payer money through the Covid PPP ‘loans.’

In Louisiana, an Archdiocese that already filed for bankruptcy back in 2020, the ongoing lack of transparency and failure to monitor priests continues to make the news. According to a ‘secret document’ kept private due to the ongoing bankruptcy, only 25% of accused priests are on the Church’s credibly accused list. Not necessarily all of the 310 accused priests may be guilty, but history has shown that far more than 25% of the accused are actually guilty. You are encouraged to watch the short video below regarding the Roman Catholic Sexual Abuse Scandal. Concealment of abuse records is a common theme in Archdiocese’s across the US, both in the past and present.

The Roman Catholic Abuse Scandal continues to play out around the world, but with varying legal outcomes. In Australia, a court has ruled the Church can still be sued by Cardinal Pell’s accuser even though the Cardinal has died. Meanwhile, in the US, the living defrocked Cardinal McCarrick has had a case dismissed against him because he has been found unfit to stand trial due to his dementia. Concurrently in Philadelphia, a case was just settled for $3.5 million against a dead priest. When will these trials just go straight to the Vatican, the head of this criminal organization.

One last note regarding these abuse scandals. This past month Sinead O’conner passed away. She made headlines in 1992 when she tore apart a photo of Pope John Paul II on Saturday Night Live. She was protesting child abuse within the Catholic Church before it was common knowledge and in the news on a daily basis. She was vilified for her actions while also becoming one of the first public figures to stand on the side of the abused. If only more people had listened to her side of the story then, maybe it wouldn’t have taken a full ten more years before the story ‘broke’ with the Boston Globe’s coverage of the scandal.

“In the seventh week there will come priests; idolaters, adulterers, money lovers, arrogant, lawless, voluptuaries, pederasts, those who practice bestiality.”

Testament of Levi 17:11

Woe to you scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like white sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outside, but are full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but within you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.”

Matthew 23:27-28

Government Abuse Scandals

Religious organizations are not the only ones with abuse scandals. Another US government abuse scandal has been reported in the news. This time the CIA has a ‘flood’ of sexual misconduct accusations. In Japan over 1300 cases of harassment have been found in their self-defense forces.

Tribulation

There is no clearer sign that a person was in tribulation than when they commit suicide. In 2022, the United States reached an all-time high number of suicides with almost 50,000 people ending their own lives. Some of those people were directly impacted by the opioid epidemic. We are now at a time when one out of every ten Americans has lost someone to an overdose, whether it be drugs or alcohol.

One of the perpetrators of the drug crisis is the Purdue Pharma company owned by the Sacklers. In an unusual turn of events, the Supreme Court is considering the bankruptcy settlement which has given immunity to the Sacklers from civil claims. If only the Supreme Court would halt and review the bankruptcy agreements being made with those 30 plus Roman Catholic Archdiocese driven by the abuse of children!

Homeless

The number of homeless in America is rising at unprecedented rates. There has been an 11% increase from the previous year. The volunteer group Food not Bombs in Houston has been issued 44 tickets with a potential fine of $80,000 for feeding the homeless. In The Book of Jasher you will learn that one of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah was making it a crime to feed the homeless. Read this article to learn more.

Pollution

Pollution of all kinds has been altering the earth and directly impacting the health of people and animals. Governments around the world have set up organizations to monitor and limit pollution, but what happens when those watch dogs completely fail. For example, the EPA approved a boat fuel with cancer-causing risks 70,000 times greater than what the agency’s own guidelines consider acceptable. In ‘Cancer Alley’, a concentrated area of chemical plants in Louisiana, lawyers representing chemical companies were at the same time representing the attorney general investigating those companies. When the EPA ‘prematurely dropped is investigation’ community advocacy groups identified the blatant conflict of interest.

In another case, the long term health impacts to indigenous communities living along the Doce River in Brazil are still manifesting. Back in 2015 the worst environmental disaster in that country occurred when a dam burst sending toxic waste down the river and into the sea. Now cancer and diabetes are prevalent in once healthy communities. This October BHP, a mining company, is being sued in a London over the incident. Over 720,000 Brazilians are seeking compensation.

“When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come upon you, even in the latter days, if you turn to the LORD your God, and shall be obedient to His Voice; For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not forsake you, neither destroy you, nor forget the Covenant of Your fathers which He swore to them.”

Deuteronomy 4:30-31

Caught in Unawares

“And take heed to yourself, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness1“The serpents are the leaders of the peoples and their wine is their ways.” DD 3:19, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you in unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth, You watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be able to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Adam.”
