From Peace Talks to War
August was dominated by peace talks, peace summits and potential ceasefires. But these talks did not result in peace. In fact, wars continued and the rhetoric of war and warriors only escalated in September.
First off, Trump signed an executive order changing the name of the Department of Defense to the Department of War. According to the White House Executive order, the name change ‘ensures peace through strength, as it demonstrates our ability and willingness to fight and win wars on behalf of our Nation at a moment’s notice, not just to defend. This name sharpens the Department’s focus on our own national interest and our adversaries’ focus on our willingness and availability to wage war to secure what is ours.’
“There is no king(ruler/government) saved by the multitude of an host(army/military): a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse (armored for war) is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. …Our soul waits for the Lord: He is our help and our shield.”

Peace through Strength
On the last day of September, the Secretary of the newly minted Department of War, Pete Hegseth, assembled a very large gathering of top generals. Both Hegseth and President Trump addressed the group. The meeting intended to ‘cement a new but familiar culture we refer to as the warrior ethos and posture the department toward a new era of peace through strength‘ said a Pentagon spokesperson.
To set the tone, Hegseth started by quoting the motto of his first platoon which was ‘Those who long for peace must prepare for war.’ He pointed to the origin of this quote as fourth century Rome. Many credit the Roman general Vegetius as the originator of the phrase, while others point further back to Thucydides in the 5th century BC. Regardless, the Roman Empire fell… or did it? This is just one example of the ways and ideas of Rome continuing to permeate world governments today, especially the US.
Warriors
Hegseth’s speech made the news for his extensive railing against overweight members of the military and those who have beards. But the real takeaway should be the vitriolic rhetoric regarding the Department of War bringing peace through strength, an ideology completely contrary to God’s Word. To summarize, he expects the departments warriors to be ‘ruthless’ and ‘aggressive’ as they ‘unleash overwhelming and punishing violence on our enemies’ by using ‘maximum lethality.’
“For we wrestle (war/battle) not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (fleshly/physical), but mighty (powerful) through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God…”

He also expressed that ‘pacifism is so naive and dangerous.’ Hegseth claims to be a so-called ‘Christian’ yet has forgotten the teachings of Jesus. There has been no greater pacifist than Jesus! He laid down his life in an incredible show of strength through peace.
“You have heard that it has been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say to you, That you resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.”

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him drink: for in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.”

Meanwhile, Trump rambled through his speech with the usual eye-raising commentary such as one side trip regarding the beautiful paper used to promote generals. He did get back on track by telling the room that ‘You are warriors, you know that, right? You’re great warriors…’ and ‘we are witnessing the triumphant return of peace through strength.’ Most notable though, were his comments around deployment of US troops into US cities. This brings us to the next news story.
Send in the Troops… to American Cities
Trump has ordered active-duty troops into several US cities. So far only one state, Louisiana, is asking for federal support, while the rest are against intervention. The move is alarming for many especially following Trumps speech to military leaders on September 30th in which he said ‘… I told Pete [Hegseth] we should use some of these dangerous cities as training grounds for our military, national guard…”
National guard troops have been or are in the process of being deployed to Los Angeles, Washington DC, Portland, Oregon, Memphis, Tennessee and Chicago. The DC deployment is unique in that Trump was able to federalize the DC police force. He faces limited impact in the states where, unless welcomed by the state governor, nationally deployed troops are limited to protecting federal buildings and federal personnel (including ICE agents). Each state governor is the commander-in-chief of their state National Guard units.
Troop Training
US cities already have local and state law enforcement agencies assigned to handle and investigate both crimes and protests. These agencies already have the training and frankly, the experience, to respond to large crowds, crimes and civil disturbances in densely populated cities. Currently, many of the national guard troops Trump wants to deploy are just now getting trained on ‘how to respond to civil disturbances‘ prior to deployment into cities such as in Portland and Chicago. Like Trump said, he wants to use these cities to train the state and federal troops. Many cities are rejecting the troops because they already have trained and experienced police forces to deploy as needed. It is up to the state governors to request additional help when needed. So, is there more to the story?
Militarization of Police
Consider the trend, over the past few decades, to provide more military equipment and implement advanced military intelligence gathering techniques in police departments. For a history on the militarization of police, this wikipedia article covers the overall history including a look at major US events such as Waco in 1993 where excessive force was on full display. Similarly, there has been an ongoing elimination of many civil liberties through the Patriot Act. Militarization and intelligence gathering has only escalated from those US milestones. Is sending in national troops really just the next step in increasing the military presence in America? Could the deployment of the national guard to various cities be a further way to antagonize and create an ‘us vs them’ mentality? Are we headed towards a police state?

1) A state in which the government exercises rigid and repressive controls over social, economic, and political life of the people, especially by means of a secret police force.
2) A nation or state whose government exercises strict and repressive control of the people, by means of police.
An increased military presence and intelligence gathering violating previously held civil liberties in addition to the already militarized local police is conditioning society for what is looking more and more like a police state. By the second definition above, the US is well on its way to expanding its policing force. So what about those ‘strict and repressive’ controls of the people? This takes us to Trumps state visit in the UK and several announcements associated with the gathering.
Dinner is Served
President Trump was welcomed to the UK for his second state visit, the only US president to receive such a ‘privilege’ as Trump put it. The US and UK have a long history and a well established ‘special relationship‘ which Trump made sure to reference in his banquet speech. The main event was a banquet welcoming 160 guests. Attendees included members of the royal family and the Trump administration as well as Trump family members. But also in attendance were CEO’s such as Alex Karp with Palantir, Tim Cook with Apple, Stephen Schwarzman from Blackstone, Larry Fink from Blackrock and Satya Nadella from Microsoft. In addition Rupert Murdoch the Media Mogul, Sam Altman from OpenAI, as well as leaders from Nvidia, Lockheed Martin and Bank of America all attended.
Tech Prosperity Deal
The heavy representation from the Tech and AI world is no surprise. Coinciding with the state visit was a ‘landmark AI deal’ between the US and UK called the ‘Tech Prosperity Deal.’ Coordination between AI system developments and applications was agreed upon between the two nations and the supporting corporations. One major factor was the plan to expand the use of nuclear power to enable the future applications of AI, a power-hungry technology.

Just announced! Digital ID’s… Coming to the UK
Besides an agreement to power AI data centers with nuclear power, there were discussions on AI applications. The UK has an AI action plan that includes many public sector applications like health care, schools and government services. So what was the really big announcement a few days after the tech Prosperity Deal was inked? Keir Starmer announced a mandatory digital ID for all working adults in the UK! The justification? Here’s where we come full circle to Trumps national guard training justification. Yes, you guessed it. A digital ID will crack down on illegal immigrants entering the UK. Here is the announcement.
Another way to announce the digital ID is to announce The Mark of the Beast! If you can’t work without a digital ID, you also can’t buy or sell.
“And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that has the mark (charagma – card), or the name/authority of the beast, or the number of his name. A Subtle Beast
This summer we have also watched as the US take steps towards implementing the Mark of the Beast, albeit in a more subtle way… so far. In May we looked at the US implementation of the real ID. While not completely digital, it is a step towards a national digital ID as covered here. In June, we covered the agreement made between Palantir and the US government to ‘compile a database of personal information on American citizens,’ the next major step towards The Mark of the Beast.
Then in July, the Trump Administration announced a new digital healthcare ecosystem which will be a way to combine a digital national ID with the US citizen database. The Tech Prosperity Deal mentioned above and the coordination of AI application development between the US and UK was immediately followed by the UK announcement of a digital ID. You should consider this as an announcement that a US digital ID is coming. They are working hand in hand on the implementation of this Mark of the Beast.
The following video summarizes the plans for the UK digital ID and closes with pointed questions to a UK politician. He confirms that the digital ID implementation is being justified as a means to address illegal immigration but will be used for much more. All facets of life from health, to finances, to job applications and shopping will depend on this ID. This is the Mark of the Beast!
Let My People go!
As you can see from the video above, there is already push back to the proposed UK digital ID. Why? Because this is a strict and repressive control over the people! Implementation across all aspects of society requires enforcement. Enforcement is where those newly trained national guard units come in to play. Just as with this UK digital ID, immigration is the excuse being used to train those national guards troops while preparing for war against ‘the enemy from within’ as Trump stated to the US generals at the end of September. US citizens are not the enemy! As God commanded Moses to tell Pharaoh, “Let My people Go!’ that they may serve Me (God) and not the government (the Beast!).

Israel-Hamas War
In other news, the Israel-Hamas war continued with several rounds of more peace talks. Israel carried out a brazen airstrike in Qatar on Hamas members. The Hamas representatives had come to Qatar to negotiate a US peace plan when Israel decided to strike. Understandably this brought the talks to a halt and put the entire Arab region on alert. Here is the response to the incident from the Qatari prime minister.
Another ceasefire plan was proposed by Trump which is still on the table. Meanwhile the fighting continues with more airstrikes in Gaza. In addition, six Israelis were killed when a Palestinian opened fire at a Jerusalem bus stop.

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goes therein shall not know peace.”

Ukraine – Russia War Continues
After all the talks of peace regarding the Ukraine-Russia War, no peace is in sight. In fact, several neighboring countries responded to drones entering their airspace escalating tensions with NATO countries. The former head of MI5 in Britain was quoted as saying Britain may already be at war with Russia. Wars are no longer limited to the battlefield. Cyber-attacks and infrastructure connected to the internet are susceptible to attacks from unknown locations.
Trump reversed direction on the Ukraine war in regards to what the Ukraine Russia borders may look like at the end of the battle. After the Alaska Peace Summit with Putin in August, Trump said Ukraine should accept revising their borders. In September Trump said Ukraine should fight to regain their lost territories. The conclusion? The fighting continues.

Caribbean and South America
Violence in Haiti continues with gangs and their military continuing to clash violently. Often residents are caught in the middle. In September at least 40 people were killed when a gang retaliated against a fishing village following the death of a gang leader.
Hostilities in the Caribbean are not just isolated to the ongoing violence in Haiti. Tensions have been rising between the US and South American countries bordering the south Caribbean following US airstrikes on boats. The US targeted at least three boats because they were suspected of trafficking drugs. Columbia’s President addressed the most recent incident in his UN address and accused the US of killing ‘three poor young people’ while also calling for a criminal trial against Trump.
This year, the US has deployed eight warships, a submarine and ten stealth fighters to the Caribbean. This has prompted South American residents and their governments to worry about a potential invasion. Venezuela even carried out three days of military exercises citing increased tensions with the US. Fisherman in the region are reportedly, yet understandably, avoiding the waters for fear of being targeted. The airstrikes carried out on the three boats have been called ‘extrajudicial executions‘ by UN experts.

Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them, and not build them up.”

Violence in Places of Worship
September was a month of violence in places of worship. How is that possible? Churches, temples and mosques are considered by worshipers to be houses of God. Wouldn’t this be the safest place on earth? In Sudan at least 75 worshipers were killed during the ongoing civil war.
In Michigan, a man entered a Mormon church and started shooting. He then set the building on fire. At least four were killed and eight injured in the incident.
At the very beginning of October, two people were killed and three seriously wounded at a synagogue in the UK. The attack occurred on Yom Kippur, the day of atonement.
Theses houses of worship are not the house of God.
“Howbeit the most High dwells not in temples made with hands; as says the prophet, Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool: what house will you build Me? says the LORD: or what is the place of My rest?”

Is This God’s House?
Political Assassination
On a similar note, one of the main stories in September was the assassination of Charlie Kirk, a so-called ‘Christian’ and political speaker. He was the leader of an organization called ‘Turning Point USA’ and was best known for his college campus tour. The mission of Turning Point USA is to ‘promote fiscal responsibility, free markets and limited government’ according to their website. He is best known for debating his evangelical viewpoints with students. The death of Charlie Kirk became the primary news event for at least a week. It distracted from the topics covered at the start of this article. Trump attended his funeral and JD Vance flew his body and wife back to Arizona on Air Force Two.
“That on the earth they (those adverse to God) shall never obtain peace and remission of sin. For they shall not rejoice in their offspring; they shall behold the slaughter of their beloved; shall lament for the destruction of their sons; and shall petition forever; but shall not obtain mercy and peace.”

Waiting for Rapture
Another supposedly prophesied day of rapture came and went in September. Rapture was supposed to occur on September 23rd or 24th according to evangelical so-called ‘Christians.’ In the lead-up to the days #raptureTok became a thing on the TikTok app. Evangelicals turned to TikTok to share their preparations including selling cars and removing passwords from phones to provide access for relatives ‘left behind.’ Some expressed concern for their pets future according to this Guardian article. A South American preacher appears to be at the origin of this current rapture prediction, but like all before, the day came and went. Why? Because rapture is not in God’s Word, but made up by men. Protests
Protests erupted in September around the world. From Brazil and Madagascar to France, Nepal and the Philippines, citizens took to the streets to protest their governments and restrictions on their way of life. There were protests in London against the Gaza war and in support of the Palestinian Action group which has been outlawed by the government. In Turkey protests against corruption in government brought tens of thousands of people to the streets. Around the world there is unrest, just as prophesied, the sea and the waves are roaring!

Look Up!
On a lighter note, September started with a total lunar eclipse of a blood moon! Although not visible in North America, Asia and Australian had a prime view of this celestial event. The Autumnal Equinox also occurred in September! The northern hemisphere is transitioning to longer nights and shorter days after passing through this time when the earth’s equator is directly facing the sun. Just as with the vernal equinox, there are 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night, a good way to gauge the time of the year.
