Keeping God’s Time
How do you keep God’s time? It’s time to think on a much larger scale, God’s scale of time.
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.2 Peter 3:8
With that, what day was Y’hoshua here? Y’hoshua was alive at what is now referred to as the B.C./A.D. split or year zero. That would put him 4,000 years after Adam, or in God’s time, 4 days. But how many days are there? For that we look to Barnabas, one of the Apostles who traveled with Paul.
“… in the beginning of the creation He makes mention of the Sabbath. And God made in six days the works of His Hands; and He finished them on the seventh day, and He rested the seventh day, and sanctified it. (Gen 2:1-3) Consider, my children, what that signifies, He finished them in six days. The meaning of it is this; That in six thousand years the Lord God will bring all things to an end. For with Him one day is a thousand years; as Himself testifies, saying, Behold this day shall be as a thousand years. Therefore, children, in six days, that is, in six thousand years, shall all things be accomplished.”Barnabas 13:3-5
Barnabas is pointing to the end of an age that comes after six days, making it the seventh day or Sabbath. A time when “all things will be accomplished.” All things of the Law will be accomplished. Going back to the Book of Exodus, we find another marker of time, the candlestick or Menorah.
“And you shall make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, … And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side.”Exodus 25:31-32
The menorah gives light to the House of Israel, the seven-fold light of seven days. (Isaiah 30:26). Now put that together with God’s time of a thousand years for a day. If Y’hoshua was here on the 4th day, that would make him the center shaft of the Menorah. Y’hoshua identified himself just as such.
I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.John 15:5
The center shaft of the Menorah provides (anointing) oil to the branches. From this Menorah light fills the house.
“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night comes, when no man can work (the Sabbath!). As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”John 9:4-5
Y’hoshua was here and murdered on the close of the 4th day. Two more days have passed and we are at the seventh day, going into the Sabbath. How much time has passed since the death of Y’hoshua? Two days have past and we are at the third day. This is that time when the temple is raised up!
“Y’hoshua answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in the three days I will raise it up.”John 2:19
“…for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My People.2 Corinthians 6:16
Passed Over to the Sabbath
Just prior to Y’hoshua’s death, he was railed against for saying he would raise God’s Temple in three days. Christian’s have claimed that he was resurrected in three days, but you can’t count three nights and three days between Friday night and Sunday morning. The math doesn’t work.
Where does the math work? In God’s Time. Y’hoshua was killed at the close of the 4th day. Next comes the 5th night and day, followed by the 6th night and day. You have a total of two nights and days that have passed. What comes next? The seventh night and day, the Sabbath. The Sabbath of rest for the raised temple of God. Those found resting in God’s house will be “passed over” in that day of tribulation just like in Egypt. How was Israel covered in Egypt? By the blood which is the Holy Spirit and eating the meat of the lamb which is the Word of God. It is just the same now. You must eat the flesh in haste, which is the Words of God and understand them. It is the Time of the Passover and the Sabbath!
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…John 1:14
